Often in years gone by, my favorite end of the year pastime would go something like this: I would reflect on the past year, feel like it was a total mess, and sulk around while frantically awaiting the new year to begin for a fresh start.
But things are different this time around.
This year was filled with lots of lessons and firsts and firsts that became lessons (and vice versa). I passed Math with flying colors (from an F to a B...that's flying colors for me). I overcame a grueling semester (literally .1 shy of Dean's List but whatever,) and finally graduated college. I learned to let go. I continued to lose weight and work on my health overall. I learned that if I truly want to do something, I can, and that giving up is not an option. I learned that I am stronger than I give myself credit for and most importantly, I learned what it is to be truly happy.
2012 wasn't without it's highs and lows and moments of "ahas!" and "huhs?" But that's life. I learned so much about myself, gained new perspective on life, and for the first time in my life, I truly felt comfortable in my own skin. Overall in 2012, I became a much happier and healthier person, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

As great as this year was, I am SO ready for 2013 and whatever it may bring. I can only hope for good things, continued personal growth, and oh yes, employment!
I wish all of you the best and a very happy and healthy New Year. I truly wish that it may be you're best year yet, whatever it is that you hope to achieve. Here's to 2013!
