Gold

6.03.2013

Outside of the summer months, with the exception of a single watch, gold is not something I typically wear. But once the weather does warm up, the few gold pieces I do have are put into heavy rotation. From hoops, headwraps, and aviators, I love the way these golden details compliment my summer wardrobe. And a tan, of course!

(Random side note: Gold is also one of my favorite songs on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' The Heist/ the inspo for a few of the the pieces currently in my shop.)

p.s. I've hit so. many.  a few technical difficulties in this blogger to wordpress switch, so yeah, taking a bit longer /more effort than I anticipated. Doesn't help that technical things drive me absolutely mad...

  1. Gold accents are my favorite–both in fashion, and home design. I wear pretty much all gold jewelry at this point!

  4. Gold has always been it for me! I love gold rings, bangles and hoop earrings. Recently though, I've been wearing silver/"diamond" studs which is a first for me, haha. The photos you chose are exactly what I'm going for when I wear more bold, gold. Especially the girl wearing the sparkly anchor tank- which I would also like!

I'm sending good blog vibes your way on the wordpress transition and keeping my finger's crossed that it works out alright! ❤

    1. I love bold gold! Some of my favorite necklaces (that mostly go unworn but whatever) are true statement pieces.

      And thanks!

  5. when it comes to accessories, I always go for the gold. Maybe I like the way the warmer tone looks against my skin tone, maybe I feel more regal, I don't know, but I love it. Silver is fine, and I don't mind mixing, but gold is my first choice.

    1. Everyone always tells me to try more gold because of my skin tone. But since I have this odd neutral shading lol I mostly stick to silver. But I am loving how gold looks on me now! You definitely wear gold very well.
